The Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) has officially signed a contract with TechnoVista Limited for the “Upgradation of Municipal Water Billing Software (30 Paurashavas)” initiative under the project of Bangladesh Municipal Water Supply and Sanitation Project (BMWSSP), jointly funded by the World Bank-IDA and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

The BMWSSP is a digital transformation initiative in Bangladesh, enhancing water billing systems to facilitate electronic payments and real-time monitoring, thereby improving access to safe water and sanitation. The contract entrusts TechnoVista Limited with incorporating the electronic payment system in the MSU, LGED web application. The web platform will integrate an integrated E-payment management system, enabling clients to pay water bills through Mobile Financial Services (MFS) like bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and Upay, as well as online banking.
