On February 1, 2019, a final findings presentation on TechnoVista CMMI Level-3 appraisal, 2019 was held at the TechnoVista Office premises, which was conducted by Mr. Rajiv Shetye, Lead appraiser and consultant of software development and quality management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India.
During the session, he recommended that TechnoVista’s SDLC is well defined, and that the department concept, such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, HR, etc., is not suitable in the CMMI model. Instead, a project-wise team/group concept is more suitable in the CMMI model.
In this model, the HR Manager is the resource issuing authority and needs to maintain a resource log, which will show the resources’ involvement in a project and the available resources list. This log will be updated after issuing resources in a project against the PM/QAM staffing plan and releasing resources from a project against the PM/QAM resource release note.
Furthermore, he recommended that the Estimation Sheet guidelines should include the determination of project size (Small/Medium/Large) against man working months and that the Tailoring Matrix should define how many artifacts/templates are applicable against which project size etc.
