The web-based Port automation system is an initiative by Mongla port authority intended to provide a single window system to securely exchange the information electronically with their stakeholders involved in the port chain including the shipping agent, C&F agent, Handling contractor, Stevedore, Importer, customs department etc.

Major Modules

Container Yard Management

This module automated the work processes of container yard section under the functional areas of Traffic Department. Container yard section can easily place all the imported containers in the container yard plan wise. They can also easily identify particular container from the yard block, can prepare yard plan for upcoming container placement etc.

Car Yard Management

This module automated the work processes of car yard section under the functional areas of Traffic Department. Car yard section can easily place all the imported cars in the car yard/shed plan wise. They can also easily identify particular car from the yard block, can prepare yard plan for upcoming car placement etc.

Container Bill Management

This module automated the work processes of container bill section under the functional areas of Traffic Department. Container bill section can setup tariff information, can prepare indent, can process plug point application info., can prepare bill assessment (C&F and Shipping Agent), Jetty charges for sea going vessel, Port charges, Equipment charges for stuffing, Weighment charges and bank challan in very accurately within a short period of time.

Car Bill Management

This module automated the work processes of car bill section under the functional areas of Traffic Department. Car bill section can setup tariff information, can prepare indent, can process space rent info., can prepare bill assessment, bank challan and cart ticket in very accurately within a short period of time.

Vessel Management

This module automated the work processes of harbour & conservancy section under the functional areas of Harbour Department. Harbour & conservancy section can prepare and store Berth allocation meeting info., Pilot booking & assignment info., Awaiting Vessel info., Vessel cancellation info., Tug boat use info, Fresh water supply info., Pilotage report etc. in easily and organized way.

Port and Pilotage Bill Management

This module automated the work processes of income section under the functional areas of Accounts Department. Income section can prepare and store tariff info., currency exchange rate info., Port and pilotage bill for sea going vessel in very accurately within a very short period of time.

Project Details

Mongla Port Authority has a vast operation that includes Harbour & Conservancy department, Ship & yard section, Car yard section, Un-stuffing & Stuffing section, Indent section, Equipment section, Berthing section, Container bill section, Car bill section, General goods bill section, Shipping bill section, Weighment section, Income section, Marine department, HR & Admin department, Accounts department etc.

The main function of the MPA is managing different container yard, car yard, transit shed, warehouse, vessel birthing place, anchorage, mooring point etc., handling inward and outward container, imported car and general goods. Delivering container and container items, car and general goods, exporting container by conducting bill assessment as per port tariff.
