Project Details
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Bangladesh, supported by Asian Development Bank (ADB), intends to further improve its business processes for handling the corruption complaints, enquiries, investigations and prosecution of cases by using appropriate information technologies and software-based automation system.
ACC also intends to strengthen its capacity as an independent institution dedicated to fighting corruption both inside and outside government. To achieve these goals, ACC, among various other measures, is establishing a web-based Investigation and Prosecution Management System (IPMS), which comprises five modules—Complaint Management, Enquiry Management, Investigation Management, Prosecution Management, and System Administration.
The IPMS has automated the business process and administrative activities of online and offline complaint submission at ACC headquarters and divisional offices, complaint screening and list preparation, note preparation and approval flow, enquiry and investigation officer assignment, time extension of enquiry and investigation of filed cases, enquiry and investigation report submission, enquiry and investigation officer replacement, charge sheet submission, final report submission, prosecutors and court inspector assignment, prosecutors bill processing etc. The system will preserve information in secured and organized manner, and ensure that authorized users will be able to view and access the information instantly.
